Healing Seekers Signs Contract with Educational Media Giant
The Healing Seekers’ Board is exceptionally proud to announce a collaboration with an American global mass media and entertainment company in broadcasting, cable vision, radio, and internet.
Board member Annie Teich led the discussions which resulted in giving the well-known content provider, non-exclusive rights to Healing Seekers video productions until 2021 and renewable thereafter. Our new partner is the original and largest video streaming service in schools today; presently in over 50,000 schools in the United States alone (20-30 million students), kindergarten to grade 12, college and universities.
The mission of Healing Seekers is to immerse students with unique and captivating educational materials which brings intimate experiences of people, environments, and the world into the classroom. The perspective of remote, indigenous cultures and environments that are highlighted in the Healing Seekers expeditions and materials fill a hole in the available content of the company.
“Charlotte Mecklenburg School District (CMS): Dr. Peter Gorman’s (Superintendent CMS) goal was a 3-5% gain in science scores over a very short time frame. A pilot program using on-line streaming science educational content led to double-digit gains in science scores year-over-year in CMS.”
More than ever, your contributions for the creations of these educational materials are needed; donations at certain levels receive naming rights/acknowledgements on the materials.
Healing Seekers would like to thank Lisa O’Brien for partnering with us!
Healing Seekers Photography Exhibit at the High Point Theater Gallery a Great Success
Healing Seekers partnered with High Point Theater Art Gallery (with Executive Director, Jeff Horney) for an exhibit showcasing photography from Healing Seekers expeditions. The exhibit’s opening reception had stellar attendance and the evening was capped off with the raffle of a gorgeous piece of Slane jewelry (compliments of Board member Heath Slane and sister, Landon Slane).
Since the opening of the High Point Theatre facility in 1975, Theatre Art Galleries has been High Point’s primary provider of visual arts. High Point Theatre – itself a wing of the International home Furnishing Center – offers a wide range of performing arts throughout the year that complement TAG’s visual art exhibits. This powerful combination makes the facility one of the region’s premier destinations for visual and performing arts.
We would like to thank TAG for the opportunity and look forward to many years of collaborations.
