Julie Callinicos | Healing Seekers Advisory Board Member

Julie Callinicos is an author, poet, writer, song writer and entrepreneur. Working with the music industries in California and Nashville, she is producing a “new wave” of music in which the natural world (with its native energy and indigenous spirit) is integrated into the popular music of the western world. Julie is currently Co-Partner of The Astral Attic Music Project: a production firm which handles musical artist/ talent development, sync licensing, film scores, sound tracks and Indie projects. In the near future, music and film production will involve scores, tracks and collaborations focused on environmental, social and educational causes. Additionally, she is co-writing and collaborating in top line lyrical production for performing artists within the entertainment industry, in both LA and Nashville for Film/Movie and Indie Documentaries and Docudramas.

Healing Seekers is especially excited about Callinicos’ work with the translation of global languages into English and the musical phrasing to raise awareness and appreciation of Indigenous People which extends into the ways that indigenous cultures, traditions, and songs help heal our planet.

As a poet, Julie has published several books of poetry with many also published in magazines and in blogs. In 1993, she won National Poet Honors for her poem “Letting Go.” Although her writing extends across all genres, her favorites include the surreal, imagery-based, southern gothic and prose, in tribute to Planet Earth.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Julie has a BA degree in Broadcast with concentrations in Creative Writing and Psychology. Julie’s past experience includes news, TV/ journalism, script editing, and screenplay writing. Post graduate Psychology studies were at Xavier University.

Brent and Julie have one child, Alexi. Julie’s “greatest joy” is co-creating with Alexi, who is signed with Maverick Entertainment in LA. Recognized as a prodigy “song writer”, 13 year old Alexi is not only writing and creating her own music, but performing it as well.

Congo Expedition

Expedition Congo | Healing Seekers Advisory Board Member

On behalf of the Board of Directors and our expedition and post-production Teams, we would like to again express our appreciation for the tremendous support in making our “Congo Expedition for Education ” successful. Since its inception 10 years ago, Healing Seekers has never experienced such an outpouring of generosity. For this trek, we received a record number of donations and surpassed our GoFundMe goal.

We realized early on that this would be a very special and unique trek…and it proved to be just that! And more.

In the weeks and months ahead we will share with you not only some of our raw footage, but also share with you a new project which will utilize our recordings in a totally different venue. And we will keep you abreast of our full-length documentary project.

Our momentum continues to grow and our work continues to expand, guiding us further in our service to education and to the world. Without YOU, this would not be possible.

It is with deep gratitude and love that we say “THANK YOU” !

Your Healing Seekers’ Board of Directors and Team
